Thanks for the suggestion Frank. Will be heading up to the g/f's place this weekend and try out the fawcett washer. Certainly can't hurt it any. I think there may even be an assorted package of them kicking around the basement after we had fixed a leaking outside tap. Not only does one have to be a mechanic to own a bike, but plumber skills seem necessary too :-)
